Drupal 7, Panels and Hitler?

Feb 02, 2010 by Tony Chung in Technology

Just a quick update today. I was browsing for Drupal resources to help me with a project, and stumbled onto this funny video. The sensitive among you will have to close your eyes at the well-placed swear words. Sorry. It was too funny for me to worry about censorship.

Drupal 7, Panels, and Hitler

Movie URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBGKdnUj4Yw

Many thanks to Nick Lewis’ tell-it-like-it-is blog

Just in case you’re wondering, I’m not jumping onto the Drupal 7 bandwagon while it’s still in Alpha.

Sorry all: The video got taken off YouTube because of copyright infringement. Just suffice it to say it was really funny.

Do you really have to post this garbage? Talking about Hitler is to Germans like calling a person of Oriental ancestry a chink or slope or fishhead or zipperhead etc… Go ahead and learn from history about what to avoid or not do and by all means in the proper setting discuss the pros and cons of Hitler, but whenever some asian dude like you decides that it’s ok to make fun of Hitler, Jewish people like me think you are making lite of something that was a disgusting chapter in human history.

Wow Sam. I’m sorry you feel that way. You found my post from last year that linked to a video where the creator wrote subtitles about the Drupal website CMS over a scene from a Hollywood movie. The video has long since been taken offline due to copyright infringement.

It was in no way meant to glamourize Hitler or the Nazi regime. I apologize for leading you to think that I was doing so.

I wouldn’t feel too bad, Tony.  I have seen that clip dubbed over many different times and never felt that it was out of line.
